ODS full reload of STUDENT data Jul 27, 2024 15:00 - Jul 28, 2024 09:00 MDT

We're doing a full reload of student data in the ODS beginning Saturday, July 27 at 3pm. We expect the process to complete by 9am on Sunday, July 28th.

The ODS will be available during this time but performance may be degraded. Student data may be inconsistent during this time. Reporting tools, WebFocus, Power BI, etc., may be affected by the performance degradation and student data inconsistency.

Non-student data, Finance, HR, Facilities, etc., will not be affected by this work.

Banner workflow upgrade Jul 28, 2024 08:00-10:00 MDT

Banner workflow will be unavailable from 8-10 am on Sunday for the Tomcat 9 upgrade. While Workflow is down a patch will be applied to the Workflow application (8.8.2.1).

RSTOR / TrueNAS update Jul 31, 2024 06:00-08:00 MDT

The following updates will be applied to the Production TrueNAS csunas01.colostate.edu

Upgrade TrueNAS-24.04.1.1 -> TrueNAS-24.04.2
-Notably to fix a critical SSH vulnerability CVE-2024-6387 "regreSSHion"
-Apply permanent system parameters to address Out Of Memory edge case.

Apply hot fix to disable SMB asynchronous writes on the system, to address another edge case to prevent Out Of Memory issues.

During the upgrade, users will experience short interruptions of service as the SMB service is restarted.

RAMmobile Decommissioning Jul 31, 2024 17:00-18:00 MDT

Effective July 31, 2024, the RAMmobile app will be decommissioned. The app will be removed from the app store to prevent new downloads and existing users will no longer be able to access the app.
Resources previously available through RAMmobile can be accessed directly through respective CSU department and service websites. More information and a list of direct links is available in the official Source announcement.

Scheduled - PROD - uAchieve CSU Production App Restart @ 5PM [7/26]

Please be informed that we have scheduled a restart of the uAchieve app servers in the production environment at 5 PM today, 7/26/2024. The restart process is expected to take approximately 10-20 minutes. During this time, the uAchieve apps will not be reachable, and any connections to the uAchieve apps will be dropped.

The purpose of this restart is to apply important changes that will move the code dependency from the weid_dir_person directory to the new midpoint directory.

We apologize for any inconvenience this brief downtime may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

Resolved - The connection to WebFocus data sources has been stable since a network configuration change was implemented yesterday afternoon. We're closing this incident as resolved.

Identified - We are experiencing connectivity issues between WebFOCUS and CSU data sources this morning. Connectivity has been intermittently working after the data center firewall was replaced early Sunday morning. Our Network team along with the Data Warehouse team are working with the vendor to resolve the issue. We'll post updates as they're available.

Resolved - DoIT believes this issue is resolved, please reboot/re-test any machines still having issues. If you find networks that still cannot pull dhcp addresses, please contact the NOC through the helpdesk ticket system with the subnet details.
